Breast Cancer Awareness – CWH

Digital Display Ad Set —

During my time at High Five Media, I was given the task of creating two sets of digital ads to raise vital breast cancer awareness for the Center for Women’s Health in OKC, OK. After doing a little bit of research I was shocked by the statistic that approximately 5% of breast cancer cases affect women under 40. This got me thinking and reflecting on the many life’s milestones that happen to us before reaching the age of 40 – those snippets of significance like the inaugural taste of legal adulthood at 21 or the thrill of renting a car, each an emblem of youthful freedom and experience.

Translating these ideas into visual narratives, I attempted to blending the familiar with the crucial. The resulting ads ingeniously juxtaposed everyday objects with the notion of breast health, prompting viewers to consider the paramount importance of yearly mammogram screenings. In the subsequent series of ads, I carried forward this creative thread, weaving in the metaphor of fruits as symbols for breast tissue – round, tangible, and a representation of what lies within, paralleling how our perceptions of objects, and breasts themselves, can be determined by the inner reality.

These captivating ads weren’t just about grabbing attention; they aimed to spark introspection. By unifying the ordinary with the profound, I aimed to underscore the significance of proactive health measures. The message reverberated: just as the pre-40 milestones shape our lives, early detection molds our health trajectory. In a world where awareness can be as transformative as it is informative, the Center for Women’s Health’s commitment to comprehensive care radiated through these visuals, advocating for the well-being of women everywhere.
